Beefeater 24 Gin
Event video and training video
Whilst working at Digital agency Maynard Malone I was tasked to Art Direct two videos for their Beefeater 24 Gin client.
The first video was to be used on the Beefeater 24 website (designed and managed by Maynard Malone) and as PR across social platforms. So it was filmed in collaboration with the brand's PR agency who had organised an event at the exclusive bar Hawke & Hunter in Edinburgh.
The event was hosted by Master Distiller Desmond Payne. Journalist and buyer guests were invited to sample from a menu of 9 Beefeater 24 Gin cocktails served by expert mixologists. To discover the unique botanical ingredients and tasting notes of the Gin.
It was themed around a 'Contemporary English Tea Salon', to reinforce that tea botanicals are a key ingredient of Beefeater 24 Gin and styled to reflect the brand's 'Made with London Glamour' identity.
The second video was a behind the scenes in-house training video. It educated on how to style/host future 'Contemporary Tea Salon' events for the brand at different venues across the UK.
As well as assisting set up and styling of the event, I Art Directed the filming. As this was a live event, it meant I had to work reactively with the videographer to capture the atmosphere of the room and key moments of the evening. Such as the introductory speech by the host, close ups of the product and how it was served and key shots of propped areas. Along with cocktail making and the guests interacting with the themed dress up/props photo opportunity area.
I also art directed the editing of the captured footage and sourced and briefed a sound artist to create bespoke music tracks for both videos. Along with designing title/endframe screens for the videos.
