'Our Jar is a Star' Facebook App
A charity promotion driven by social media, in-line with the brand’s CSR agenda.
This campaign celebrated Douwe Egbert’s iconic glass jar, highlighting multiple uses and eco credentials. A Facebook app educated on three ‘Responsible R’s’. These were used as entry criteria for charities to apply to win funding for their good cause.
Users ‘liked’ the app to participate, be that via entry or voting for the entrants within the app.
The entries were judged by a panel, including TV presenter Dick Strawbridge, best known for ‘Scrapheap Challenge’ and ‘It’s not easy being green’ shows. The winning charity was ‘Stepping Stones’ a Down’s Syndrome support group.
The campaign received high levels of engagement. I designed and art directed the app.
